What Do You Believe and Why Does It Matter?
Do you know what you believe? Do you not know what you believe? If you can’t
answer both of those questions 'yes'… then I BELIEVE you are wrong. Our
beliefs are the primal engine that drives or diminishes every thing we do,
everything we think.
Everything.
They not only affect each of us and how we
react to life’s “opportunities,” they also affect how others treat us.
Even beliefs others have about us can affect us. In a
study of a group of children who tested to have average
intelligence, the group was randomly divided in half. One half went to a teacher who
had been told that the children were gifted. The other
group went to a teacher who had been told that the children were slow
learners.
A year later the two groups were retested for intelligence. Not
surprisingly, the majority of the group that was labeled “gifted” scored
higher than they had previously, while the majority of the group that was
labeled “slow learners” scored lower. The teacher’s beliefs about the
students affected the outcome!

Learning how to make this fact work for you rather than against
you is a crucial step towards living your dreams.
If you haven't already, be sure to click through

with it. Then, spend 30 minutes reviewing what you believe about
your life in each of the areas covered.
Especially, take time to notice any areas that create tension,
anxiety or worry for you on a regular basis. It's likely these
are the areas where old, limiting beliefs are active. When you

Hey Mr. Black!
I just had to write and tell you of my success in the
business world! I don't know if you remember or not but
when you did your follow up call with me I let you know
that i had asked for a raise from my bosses and that if
I didn't get it I was going to quit and move on with my
life.
Well just
today I found out that I did get that raise, I now make
double what I was making before! I feel ecstatic and so
fabulous it just brings tears to my eyes knowing that
now I have the tools in my life to get what I truly
deserve. In my "prior" life I would complain complain
and never do anything about it because for 1- I didn't
think I deserved it and 2 - I didn't have the courage.
But now, since being an Empower U graduate, I know I
deserve it and I have the courage to get what I want.
Thank you so
much for giving me those tools to make my life truly the
best that it can be. I'll admit it was dang hard and
uncomfortable but I just envisioned crossing that line
and because I did that I could ask for that raise. You

real world and by golly - I did it!
