Adventure Journal Entry #3

Good Evening Team 297- LIVE IT!

Thank you Joe for speaking with me Friday and clearing up some things that have been weighing on my mind and heart. I know you WILL become a fantastic Trainer and continue to make a difference in many lives in the future. Just as you have up until now.

Seeing as Adventure never gives a person an opportunity to stay in their pity party too long, my TEAM went right into another process that focused on COMMITMENT and TRUST.

Words that when seen for what they really are, are words that do not exist without each other. How will I be able to COMMIT to my wife, family, friends, starfish if they do not TRUST me? And likewise, how will they be able to TRUST me if they are not COMMITTED to our relationship? Nice words, but where is the PASSION and PURPOSE behind them? The next process would demand all the COMMITMENT and TRUST inside me.

This again was a process I had done several times with TEAM members as well as coworkers. This time was different. Not only was Georgine there, but the TEAM I had was new and I was still dealing with the demons from the previous process. As I assisted in the process for the rest of my TEAM, I kept telling myself to change the CD that was going around in my head. FOCUS on the Michael Paulus I could become and get rid of the regret and resentment for what had already taken place. As I took my turn in the process I felt a fear I had not felt before. I was shaking and not knowing why made me all the more pissed off. I then used the "Cycle of Behavior" from Tony Blauer, this I discussed back in April of this year if anyone would like to revisit the topic. I decided to get Challenged instead of afraid. Stay in the present, make a plan, and take action. As I finished the process, a sense of relief came over me as I knew that I had made progress in my battle with the fear of failure.

But the battle is not over...
