Adventure Journal Entry #4
Good Morning Team 297- LIVE IT!
It is a GREAT DAY TO BE ALIVE!
Even when Georgine has a cold and pink eye! It was a fantastic weekend, the stress of the week was forgotten and I FOCUSED on getting the house in order for a family gettogether. The neat part of this was that I chose to get rid of things that were laying around the house gathering dust. Things that I would not let go of, up until now.
Surely there is a parallel there somewhere in my life. Anyway, it was a great night with my family and my sister and her family, and my brother and his family. We even got the chance to check out the lunar eclipse Saturday night.
Awakening showed me that it is okay to get out in front and be the leader. This gives others permission to do the same. But what happens when there are two hard charging leaders? If one were to fall back and not be an active follower, then the first leader could end up falling on their face.
Gerald, welcome to the TIP OF THE SPEAR for TEAM boards! Remember to post powerfully, no "t" words! Tell us about yourself, your successes, your travails, and how you are making a difference in other's lives. We are most happy when those from other Teams stop by and share. Here at TEAM 297- LIVE IT! we hold each other accountable for our COMMITMENTS as well as offer suggestions for breaking down walls and smashing through barriers to becoming our dreams. So strap yourself in as this train is headed for a land called PASSION AND DREAMS!
I want to post about another of the experiences at my Adventure class. This process was wild and it was such a mental process I was just a bit woozy from it as well. What I gained from it was that in my life, since Awakening, but even before I would want to take charge and make things happen. This had worked okay for quite some time. What I discovered at Adventure in this process, was that as long as I was the only one involved in moving forward I could be the TIP OF THE SPEAR!
Once though there were others involved in the process, now I must balance my ENTHUSIASM and PASSION so as to coordinate our efforts for a common goal. Awakening showed me that it is okay to get out in front and be the leader. This gives others permission to do the same. But what happens when there are two hard charging leaders? If one were to fall back and not be an active follower, then the first leader could end up falling on their face. The discovery was by balancing my PASSION, FOCUS, and PURPOSE with another COMMITTED leader's qualities much more will be accomplished.
This requires COMMUNICATION, COMMITMENT, CLEAR VISION, AND CONSENSUS. Even if it is just between one other leader and myself. I am able to accomplish so much when I set my HEART, BODY, and SOUL to a mission. Now I realize that there are things in this world that I will accomplish only with the help of those around me and it is my opportunity to develop these qualities in me that will make me the Michael Paulus I could become!
I am off to make a difference in as many lives today as possible!
With PASSION - HBS!
Michael
