Like most students who come to your course, I was skeptical. I came to the course expecting two and a half days of boring classroom instruction and a textbook answer to being a better leader. Instead, I found a passion for life! A renewed sense of energy! An ability to focus my thoughts and my efforts! And a deep love, care and concern for others that I never knew before! An absolutely indescribable weekend!

As a trainer for over 16 years in the military I have participated in and provided a great deal of leadership training over the years. But without a doubt, my experience at the Leadership Awakening course was by far the most impactful weekend of my life! Never before have I experienced an outpouring of the human spirit like I did your course. You challenged me to go farther than I had ever gone, you told me to trust you and by doing so I found a part of me I never knew existed. My life has been exponentially changed by this past weekend and it will never be the same and for that I thank you!

I now realize that the answers to being a better leader aren't in a textbook, they're in my heart. Through your course I was finally able to dig down deep enough to find them! I am so excited about what the future holds! I now look forward with great anticipation to realizing the "God given" potential that has been hidden inside of me for so long. I recommend your course to anyone willing to make a commitment to making a difference with his or her life, to being the best they can be!

Dear Mr Black,

I have written you to formally express my appreciation of the Leadership Awakening course you have developed. As a professional trainer and performance consultant myself, I am aware of the effort involved developing training programs. I arrived expecting another course presented in a lecture or conference format. Instead, I found myself in a dynamic, participant centered training process unlike any I have experienced. The intellectual and emotional stimulation was astounding! I left Reno a new person!

I have participated in many civilian personal and professional development programs: Increasing Human Effectiveness, The Seven Habits..., Investment in Excellence, Interpersonal Management Skills, Strength Deployment Inventory, Myers/Briggs, to name a few. These programs had their merits. However, none have matched the power or passion of Leadership Awakening. I have undertaken extensive military training over the past 15 years. I find Leadership Awakening to be commensurate with some of the best! I look forward with anticipation to Leadership Awakening.

At this point I can only imagine the impact of assimilating an entire staff through this process. The cyclical rejuvenation we have experienced as just a few participants have returned has fostered team development and productivity. I am adamant in the belief anyone can benefit from this training.

Dear Mr Black,

I have attended several course in my military career, but never one as profound and intense as Empower U's Leadership Awakening.

I used to be an individual who would want to know every detail --- the who, what, when, where and why. I was the same regarding this course. I had no idea what to expect, but I'm glad I made the decision to be open to the training. As a result, I do less rationalizing these days and more living --- HEART, BODY and SOUL. Leadership Awakening is a powerful course and I came away from the experience more focused, more committed and more passionate about who I am and how I can make a difference in other peoples lives.

I would recommend this course to anyone who believes that doing just enough is enough. For it is not enough! I've cheated others and myself far too long. Leadership Awakening helped me to realize the untapped potential in each of us. This course is a wake up call for all of us who have been asleep. It is not my policy to write testimonials. However, my experience at your Leadership Awakening was so profound that I felt compelled to write. With over 20 years of military service (as an Infantry Officer) I have had the opportunity to attend our nation's most rigorous leadership training courses. Your program measures up against these in every respect. This course is a must for leaders of all types and at all levels.

Leadership, as you know, is more than a series of magic words and phrases we apply to specific situations. All to often we look at leadership as a science as opposed to the art it really is. Your program ensures that we understand and embrace the artist that lies deep within us. Dear Empower U,

I want to take this opportunity to say how pleased I am with your corporate training program. The professionalism you and Kimberly displayed significantly enhanced the training for both groups of participants.

I originally requested this training after attending the same program in Nashville so that I could have a baseline in which to develop individual recruiter leadership capabilities and build team cohesion. I got everything I asked for.

Your training on Want it! Create it! Live it!, the attitude versus skills exercise, powerless words exercise, and the "up until now" training really hit home for everyone. This training definitely provided both the NCOIC and the Team Commander a reference point when discussing individual recruiter activity and production.

After the training was conducted, I heard nothing but accolades about the program even from my most skeptical recruiters. Some of them even used portions of the training at home with their families. We are currently planning on using your Leadership Awakening Program as a monthly incentive for the recruiter with the greatest production.
